Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is an Hollywood writer and actress who has been recognized for her skills. Sagittarius, she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the eldest child of Peter Moore Smith a paratrooper, and Anne who is a psychology student. She's English as well as Scottish. Due to her father's job the Moore family often relocated and she struggled to establish relationships or keep them. Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School in Germany when her parents moved to America. She began performing in theatre. The school she attended was Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with B.F.A. In 1983 she graduated with a B.F.A. Moore started her theater career off Broadway and in New York, after she completed her degree. Her screen debut came in 1985 when she appeared on an episode from The Edge of Night. The break came in 1986 when she portrayed the role of Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes on As the World turns. In 1988 she was a part-time actor in the series and was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she began her film debut with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie which she later described as an awful low-budget movie. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), each Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. She received several nominations and acclaim for the initial film. Moore was her first major role on screen in Safe(1995). Steven Spielberg, who was the director for Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997, one of the year's highest earning films, chose Moore as a lead actor. She was awarded a SAG Award nomination for Magnolia in 1999. The Hours was her co-starring role in 2002, and it earned nine Academy Award nominations with Nicole Kidman. Moore has also starred in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. Non-Stop was her film from 2014. Moore was a regular in many TV and film series. She's appeared in numerous TV and film shows. She was most recently seen in In When You Finish Save the World 2022. She is an Hollywood actress and children's writer, the actress is well-established. The first book she published was Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and was a N.Y.T. This best-seller was turned into a movie, series, and even into a musical. She married John Robin in 1984 and the couple divorced in 1995. Bart Freundlich has given her two children. Moore later got married to him in 2003.
